Key Responsibilities
1. Food and Beverage Service

Provide high-quality meal service to patients, following set procedures and dietary specifications.

Ensure food and drinks are delivered efficiently while maintaining excellent hygiene and presentation standards.

Support patients with meal choices and dietary requirements, ensuring a positive dining experience.
2. Kitchen and Hygiene Maintenance

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in ward kitchens, following Food Safety Legislation.

Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained according to hospital guidelines.

Comply with infection control protocols to promote a safe healthcare environment.
3. Compliance and Safety

Follow all NHS health and safety protocols, including food handling and storage procedures.

Ensure compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) Level 2 standards.

Participate in mandatory training programs to stay up to date with food safety and hygiene regulations.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills and Qualifications

Good level of education with strong communication skills.

Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

A positive and professional attitude, with a strong sense of responsibility.

Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the demands of the hospital environment.
Desirable Experience

Previous catering experience, preferably in a healthcare or care setting.

Knowledge of food safety standards and hospital catering protocols.

Understanding of patient dietary needs and nutritional guidelines.

Previous experience working in the NHS or healthcare sector (advantageous but not required).
