What You Can Expect

Key Responsibilities

As a Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

Leadership and Team Support
  • Lead a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Provide hands-on support to team members and clients, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure team members follow care plans and risk assessments to provide safe and effective care.
Care Plan Development and Implementation
  • Oversee the creation, implementation, and review of individualized care plans for clients.
  • Tailor care plans to meet each client’s specific needs, ensuring their health and well-being are the priority.
Observation and Reporting
  • Conduct regular observations on clients’ health, well-being, and behavior, recording any changes.
  • Report significant changes to healthcare professionals and management to ensure appropriate interventions are made.
Medication Administration
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals and supervise medication management within the team.
Staff Development and Training
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to maintain high standards of care and staff performance.
  • Support ongoing staff development to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Emergency and Incident Management
  • Act as the first point of contact for any incidents or emergencies, ensuring they are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to client care, staff performance, and shift handovers.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Essential Requirements
  • Own car and a valid UK driving license (non-negotiable for travel to clients’ homes).
  • Current residence in the UK on one of the following visas: Student, Graduate, or Dependent.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a care leadership role is highly preferred.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a commitment to improving clients’ lives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and the team.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and be reliable.
Desirable Attributes
  • Experience in team leadership or supervisory roles in healthcare.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and client care.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including availability for weekends and overtime.

Work Schedule

This role follows a 2-week rota schedule, which includes:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Shift times are as follows:

  • 07:00 – 14:00
  • 16:00 – 22:30

This schedule offers a balance of both day shifts and evening shifts, making it ideal for individuals seeking flexible working hours.
