Key Responsibilities
General Construction & Carpentry
-
Build and install structural frameworks using wood, bricks, blocks, and stone

Perform high-quality masonry and carpentry on domestic buildings
-
Construct home extensions, partition walls, porches, and boundary walls

Carry out internal and external repairs and finishing tasks
Roofing, Painting & Finishing
-
Execute roofing repairs and installations using proper safety measures
-
Apply plaster, paint, and decorative finishes with precision
-
Deliver clean, aesthetically pleasing final work that meets client expectations
Site Operations & Tool Handling
-
Operate a wide range of hand and power tools safely and efficiently
-
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction specifications
-
Prepare and maintain the site according to UK health and safety standards
Basic Electrical & Plumbing

Carry out minor electrical adjustments and basic plumbing when needed

Ensure all utility installations are handled with care and follow local building codes
Teamwork & Site Maintenance

Work alongside other tradespeople including plumbers, electricians, and site managers

Coordinate tasks to ensure smooth workflow and meet tight project deadlines

Keep a clean and organized job site while adhering to site safety rules
Essential Requirements
Construction Experience & Skills
-
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in building, masonry, carpentry, or general construction

Proficient in reading technical drawings, layout plans, and construction blueprints
-
Skilled in operating saws, drills, mixers, and other power tools
-
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and best practices
Physical & Practical Abilities
-
Excellent physical fitness and stamina for handling construction materials
-
Proven ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
-
Able to work full-time Monday to Saturday, depending on project needs
Communication & Language Skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Fluency in Gujarati, Hindi, or Urdu is highly desirable due to our client base

Must be willing to follow all health and safety procedures on site
Preferred Qualifications

CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card (preferred or willing to obtain)

Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)

Experience with domestic projects like loft conversions, side/rear extensions, or kitchen refurbishments
