We are currently seeking a Web & Data Analytics Executive to join our dynamic team. Role Overview: Web & Data Analytics Executive
The Web & Data Analytics Executive will support the Marketing and External Relations strategy by overseeing the development and improvement of the university website. The role involves working closely with the UX Design and Development teams to enhance user journeys, interpret complex data, and implement recommendations that drive website improvements.
Your main responsibility will be to use your knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and data visualization tools to analyze website performance and assist in making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
As the Web & Data Analytics Executive, your role will involve:
1. Website Administration & Support

Administer the daily operations of the Edinburgh Napier University website and Content Management System (CMS).

Provide training and troubleshooting support to internal clients and escalate issues to the Information Services (IS) team when needed.

Work with internal teams to resolve issues and improve the functionality of the website.
2. Data Analysis & Reporting

Utilize your advanced skills in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to analyze website traffic and user behavior.

Interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights for the enhancement of the user experience (UX).

Create measurement plans to assess digital marketing efforts and visualize performance data in tools like Looker Studio.
3. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Work closely with the UX Design and Development teams to support scenario testing and the implementation of website improvements.

Ensure all web analytics are aligned with the university’s goals and operational priorities.

Contribute to the development and execution of strategies that enhance the student journey and overall digital experience.
Key Qualifications & Skills
Essential Criteria

Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., Web Analytics, Digital Marketing, Computer Science).

Substantial experience in web analytics, with a strong understanding of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and complex websites.

Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret large sets of data and derive actionable insights.

Knowledge of web governance standards and experience using cookie management tools.

Up-to-date knowledge of the latest web and digital technologies.
Desirable Criteria

Experience in data visualization using tools like Looker Studio or similar platforms.
