About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Noon Academy, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, high-performance systems that support thousands of students daily. This is a high-impact role where you will take full ownership of your code, optimize system performance, and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Full-Stack Development & Code Ownership
- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions.
- Take full ownership of your code, ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
2. System Optimization & Scalability
- Identify bottlenecks and improve system efficiency.
- Work with containerization technologies (Kubernetes) to optimize infrastructure.
3. Collaboration & Agile Development
- Participate in team release rotations to ensure smooth deployment.
- Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to improve user experience.
4. Continuous Improvement & Best Practices
- Strive for incremental improvements in system design and performance.
- Ensure high code quality through peer reviews, testing, and automation.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java & Spring Boot (Must-have).
- Experience in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of containerization & orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for clean, scalable code.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in edtech or high-traffic applications.
- Familiarity with machine learning (ML) and AI-driven applications.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
