SEJ Pharma is seeking a Pharmacy Dispenser for our Chinnor Pharmacy. This role includes responsibilities as a Dispensary & Healthcare Assistant, with training provided for over-the-counter healthcare services. For the right candidate, Tier 2 Sponsorship is available. Key Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Dispenser at SEJ Pharma, you will have a range of key duties, ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy and excellent patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
Dispensing Prescription Medications
- Dispense medications accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and patient safety.
- Provide clear, concise information to patients regarding their medications and proper usage.
Providing Patient Care
- Offer healthcare advice, answering patient queries related to medications, over-the-counter products, and general health concerns.
- Develop strong relationships with patients, ensuring they feel valued and supported in their healthcare journey.
Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals
- Work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the correct medication is dispensed and administered to patients.
- Assist in providing pharmaceutical services, including vaccinations and ear microsuction, with training provided.
Inventory Management
- Maintain an organized inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring stock is replenished as necessary.
- Monitor the pharmacy’s stock levels and support the ordering process to maintain adequate supply.
Retail & Merchandising
- Assist in shop floor merchandising, ensuring the pharmacy is well-presented and customer-friendly.
- Provide over-the-counter advice to customers regarding non-prescription medications and general health products.
Adherence to Regulations
- Follow all pharmacy policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain the confidentiality of patient information at all times, in line with GDPR and pharmacy ethics.
Qualifications and Requirements
While experience is preferred, we are open to candidates with a passion for healthcare and an eagerness to learn. Key requirements for this role include:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or pharmacy technician is preferred but not required.
- Experience in retail or a customer-facing role is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when dispensing medications.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of professionalism and ethics, particularly in handling confidential patient information.
- Ability to be flexible and available for additional cover, such as holiday or sickness replacement.
Additional Requirements:
- Driver’s license and access to your own vehicle is beneficial.
- Flexibility to increase working hours as the business grows.
- Must be available for extra cover when required (e.g., during holidays or sickness).
Working Hours and Schedule
This is a part-time, permanent role with the following working hours:
- Monday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 1 in every 4 Saturdays (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
You will be expected to have the flexibility to cover additional shifts when needed, ensuring that the pharmacy continues to operate efficiently.
