Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the British Council Scotland SGSAH EARTH Scholarships 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- PhD Researchers: Open to those currently enrolled in an Arts & Humanities PhD program at a non-UK university.
- Must include a support letter from their PhD supervisor.
- Early Career Researchers (ECRs): Those within 1 year of PhD award notification (not graduation) from a non-UK university.
- ECR eligibility extends to 2 years in cases of caregiving or illness.
- Interdisciplinary PhDs: Applicants with interdisciplinary research must have at least 50% of their project within Arts & Humanities.
- Open to Global South Candidates: Preference for applicants from the Global South, particularly those from countries aligned with the Scottish Government’s International Development Fund priority list, including Rwanda, Zambia, Pakistan, Malawi, and India.
