About the Role

Gleam Healthcare is expanding its team in Goole to support a new contract launching in April 2025. We are looking for dedicated and compassionate domiciliary care workers who hold a UK driver’s license and have access to their own vehicle. Key Responsibilities

1. Personal Care

  • Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting while maintaining dignity and privacy.
  • Supporting individuals with mobility needs using appropriate equipment.

2. Daily Living Support

  • Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking.
  • Helping with household chores, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.

3. Medication Management

  • Administering medication safely and keeping accurate records.

4. Social and Emotional Support

  • Reducing loneliness and encouraging engagement in activities and hobbies.
  • Providing emotional support and listening to service users’ concerns.

5. Safety and Risk Management

  • Adhering to risk assessments and infection control protocols, including COVID-19 precautions.
  • Reporting hazards, accidents, or safeguarding concerns promptly.

6. Documentation

  • Maintaining accurate care notes, medication records, and incident reports.
  • Ensuring confidentiality in line with GDPR policies.

7. End-of-Life Care

  • Providing compassionate support to individuals nearing the end of life.

Key Requirements

  • Must have a car and a valid UK driver’s license.
  • Genuine passion for delivering exceptional care.
  • Ability to start training immediately and commit to ongoing development.
  • Availability for day and night shifts, including weekends.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
  • Previous caregiving experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Basic DBS clearance (preferred).
  • Proficiency in English.

Work Schedule

  • Shifts: Day shifts, night shifts, and weekend availability.
  • Hours: No more than 37.5 hours per week.

Additional Information

  • Visa Sponsorship: Available after the new contract goes live in April 2025.
