Job Summary

  • Position: Social Worker
  • Location: United Kingdom (Millennium Centre, Leasowe, Wirral)
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per annum
  • Relocation Package: Up to £8,000 (Terms & Conditions apply)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Care Act assessments and develop personalized support plans.
  • Complete mental capacity assessments and lead safeguarding enquiries.
  • Utilize asset- and strength-based approaches to assessment and support planning.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (PCF).

Desirable:

  • Practice educator award.
  • Post-qualifying vocational training.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of key legislation: Mental Health Act (1983), Mental Capacity Act (2005), Care Act (2014), and Safeguarding practices.
  • Proficient in confidentiality and data protection protocols.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational abilities and IT proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Desirable:

  • Emotional intelligence and resilience in professional settings.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with vulnerable individuals and families.
  • Developing and arranging support plans and care packages.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies.

Desirable:

  • Experience in local authority settings and multi-agency teams.
