Job Summary
- Position: Social Worker
- Location: United Kingdom (Millennium Centre, Leasowe, Wirral)
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per annum
- Relocation Package: Up to £8,000 (Terms & Conditions apply)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Care Act assessments and develop personalized support plans.
- Complete mental capacity assessments and lead safeguarding enquiries.
- Utilize asset- and strength-based approaches to assessment and support planning.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
- Evidence of continuing professional development (PCF).
Desirable:
- Practice educator award.
- Post-qualifying vocational training.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of key legislation: Mental Health Act (1983), Mental Capacity Act (2005), Care Act (2014), and Safeguarding practices.
- Proficient in confidentiality and data protection protocols.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational abilities and IT proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Desirable:
- Emotional intelligence and resilience in professional settings.
Experience
- Proven experience working with vulnerable individuals and families.
- Developing and arranging support plans and care packages.
- Collaborating with partner agencies.
Desirable:
- Experience in local authority settings and multi-agency teams.
