About the Role: Social Care Worker
As a Social Care Worker at Westmorland & Furness Council, your main responsibility will be to assess and review the needs of individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs, as well as their carers. Your role will focus on developing and delivering tailored, person-centered support that enhances the lives of those we serve.
You will be required to use relevant legislative processes to ensure your practice aligns with the legal and regulatory frameworks that govern social care. Additionally, as part of the transition team, you will work with young people from the age of 14, helping them navigate the transition from childhood to adulthood, ensuring that they receive the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities

Needs Assessment and Review: Conduct thorough assessments of individuals’ needs, ensuring the development of personalized care plans that support self-directed living.
