Key Responsibilities of the Shift Supervisor
As a Shift Supervisor at Buyers Club, you will be responsible for leading the front-of-house team, ensuring a high standard of customer service, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leadership and Team Management
- Supervise and guide the front-of-house team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Maintain high service standards through coaching, training, and development of staff.
- Foster a positive work environment by leading with a passionate and motivated attitude.
- Ensure team members adhere to operational procedures and company standards.
Guest Experience
- Lead by example in delivering warm, friendly hospitality to every guest.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on food and drink offerings, ensuring guests have a seamless and memorable experience.
- Handle customer queries and concerns effectively, ensuring guest satisfaction is maintained at all times.
Operational Efficiency
- Oversee the flow of operations during your shift, ensuring the front-of-house areas are well-organized and efficiently run.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure the proper preparation and presentation of food and beverages.
- Monitor shift performance to meet business goals and drive customer satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or food & beverage industry.
- Excellent knowledge of food and drink offerings, with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and team members clearly and professionally.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with staff training and development.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in the food and beverage industry.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and other restaurant management software.
