MiBanana is seeking a Senior Social Media Manager to spearhead our social media strategies across multiple platforms. In this role, you will lead a team of social media specialists, content creators, and analysts to craft campaigns that enhance our brand presence, engage our audience, and drive measurable results.

Salary: NGN 150,000 – 250,000 per month

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies that align with MiBanana’s business goals, target key audiences, and boost brand awareness across major platforms.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of social media professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that drives creative excellence.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, creation, and execution of social media campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and creativity across platforms.
  • Content Development: Lead the creation of engaging, platform-specific content, including graphics, videos, and copy, that captivates audiences and drives social media growth.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, using insights to refine strategies and improve campaign outcomes.
  • Community Management: Supervise community engagement efforts, ensuring timely and effective communication with followers, and building strong relationships with the audience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, PR, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging and integrated campaigns across all channels.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay current with social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to ensure strategies are cutting-edge and effective.
  • Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis management plans to safeguard and enhance the brand’s reputation in challenging situations.
  • Budget Management: Efficiently manage social media budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and maximizing ROI.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in social media management, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok), including algorithms, best practices, and analytics tools.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing a social media team, with strong mentoring and team-building capabilities.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement successful social media strategies that align with broader marketing objectives and deliver measurable results.
  • Content Creation: Strong creative abilities with experience leading content creation across visual, video, and written formats.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in social media analytics and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social), with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Project Management: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a strong grasp of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of crafting compelling content and presenting strategies to stakeholders.
  • Crisis Management: Experience in managing social media crises with a calm and strategic approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in social media marketing or digital marketing.
  • Experience with Paid Social: Knowledge of paid social media advertising, including campaign setup, management, and optimization.
