Key Responsibilities
Packaging Design
As a Senior Graphic Designer at JFA Medical, your primary responsibility will be creating market-ready packaging designs for a variety of products. You’ll ensure that each design aligns with the brand’s values and appeals to the target audience while maintaining a high standard of creativity and functionality.
Brand Development
You will collaborate closely with the Product Management Team to develop and refine brand identities. This will involve working on both new and existing products, ensuring that trademarks are distinctive and legally compliant.
Visual Branding
In this role, you will create visually compelling marketing materials, including professional photography and CGI collaborations, to deliver impactful product visuals. Your designs will help tell a story, translating the essence of the product into captivating branding.
Product Storytelling
Translate product concepts into compelling packaging and branding designs. The goal is to communicate the product’s value and differentiate it in the marketplace, making it instantly recognizable and appealing to consumers.
Collaboration with CAD/CGI Designers
Your designs will need to be seamlessly converted into 3D renderings and production-ready materials, requiring close collaboration with CAD and CGI designers to ensure the highest quality output.
Sales-Driven Design
You will use sales data and market research to improve packaging and branding strategies continuously. Your work will have a direct influence on product performance, ensuring business growth and market success.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in graphic design with a focus on packaging design, branding, or product marketing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your experience with packaging, branding, and product-related design.
Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet both creative and functional design requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of market trends and how to leverage them in design.
Additional Desirable Experience
Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical branding is a bonus but not a requirement. You must be eligible for full-time employment in the UK and capable of reliably commuting or relocating to London.
Design Task
To be considered for this role, you must complete a design task. The task is to create a new brand and packaging concept for a tube of toothpaste. The task includes the following:
- Brand Development: Develop a name, logo, tagline, and a brief explanation of the brand’s values and target audience.
- Packaging Design: Design a functional and visually appealing packaging concept that resonates with your brand’s story and communicates essential product information.
- Market Positioning: Explain the target demographic, potential competitors, and how the product is positioned in terms of price and quality.
