Key Responsibilities

Property Acquisitions & Lease Management

  • Oversee property acquisitions and disposals across leasehold and freehold estates.
  • Manage rent reviews, lease renewals, and contract negotiations to optimize estate performance.
  • Handle licensing agreements, including alterations, sub-letting, and alienations, ensuring smooth project approvals.

Estate Compliance & Dispute Resolution

  • Ensure all property transactions align with legal, regulatory, and NHS compliance standards.
  • Manage and resolve boundary disputes, supporting the wider estates and capital projects teams.
  • Act as the internal property expert for discussions with partners like King’s College London (KCL).

Strategic Property & Asset Management

  • Support town planning discussions and negotiations for key NHS capital projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date property records, ensuring accurate documentation of property interests.
  • Provide strategic estate planning advice to senior management, contributing to property-related decision-making.
  • Produce detailed property reports for committee meetings and senior leadership discussions.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical expertise in property management, estate surveying, and asset valuation.
  • In-depth knowledge of London’s property market, particularly in public sector estate management.
  • Proven experience in property acquisitions, disposals, lease agreements, rent reviews, and valuations.
  • Ability to develop and manage partnerships with property consultants and ensure contract deliverables.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in complex estate transactions.
  • Experience in preparing technical reports and strategic property plans for senior management.

Qualifications & Professional Registration

  • Degree in Property Management, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
  • Full membership of a recognized professional body such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
