Job Overview
As a Senior Delivery Manager, you’ll be at the heart of a high-performing software delivery team. You will lead the delivery of technology projects across various product families, ensure effective communication between stakeholders, and contribute to the strategic goals of the organization. Your role will involve empowering teams, resolving delivery roadblocks, and maintaining a strong focus on product excellence, all while cultivating an agile mindset within the organization. Key Responsibilities:
Product Delivery & Project Management:

Empower delivery teams to ensure efficient product delivery across multiple product families.

Lead project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Resolve any issues that could impede progress and take proactive steps to ensure project success.

Act as a scrum master when required, guiding teams through agile methodologies and promoting continuous improvement.

Collaborate with Product Managers and Heads of Education Exam Solutions to help meet organizational goals.
Incident Management & Resolution:

Take ownership of incident investigations, ensuring timely resolution of major incidents and problem records.

Participate in root-cause analysis and apply best practices to prevent similar issues in the future.

Manage risk and escalation processes effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.
Agile Culture & Team Development:

Cultivate an agile mindset across the team and lead by example in adopting agile practices.

Motivate team members to meet deadlines, foster a collaborative work environment, and encourage innovation.

Lead efforts to refine delivery processes, ensuring efficient and high-quality outputs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various business units, ensuring transparency and effective communication.

Key Skills & Experience:

Extensive experience in software delivery: Proven expertise in managing full end-to-end software development life cycles, from requirements gathering to delivery and post-implementation support.

Leadership & Coaching: Strong experience in leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving continuous improvement.

Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, ITIL, Jira, and Trello. Experience with these tools is essential for streamlining delivery and enhancing team performance.

Stakeholder Engagement: Expertise in managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including directors and executives, to ensure alignment with business goals and expectations.

Risk & Issue Management: Ability to effectively manage risks and issues, providing proactive solutions to avoid project delays or setbacks.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ITIL and other technical frameworks to manage various phases of the software delivery lifecycle.
Desirable Qualifications:

Agile Certifications: Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile Coach) is desirable.

Project Management Certifications: PMP, Prince2, or similar certifications would be an advantage.
