Key Responsibilities
- Resident Care: Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and administering prescribed medications.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in residents’ health or well-being to healthcare professionals.
- Mobility Assistance: Support residents with transfers and mobility, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Activity Engagement: Encourage and assist residents in participating in social activities to promote their independence and overall well-being.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support care staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and any incidents or observations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential:
- Previous experience in a care home or similar setting.
- SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A caring and compassionate nature, committed to delivering exceptional care.
Preferred:
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency with basic IT systems for documentation purposes.
