About the Research Assistant Role

As a Research Assistant in the School of Healthcare, you will work closely with academic experts and research teams to develop and implement high-quality applied health and social care research. This role is essential in shaping policies and improving social care services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Research Development and Implementation

  • Assist in delivering the SENSITISE project, a research initiative focused on social care technologies and their impact.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including big data analysis, social network analysis, and mixed-methods studies.
  • Support the development, evaluation, and implementation of complex interventions in social care.

2. Knowledge Mobilization and Collaboration

  • Work closely with social care professionals, policymakers, and funding organizations to ensure research findings are practically applied.
  • Engage with care providers, commissioners, and users of social care services to enhance the impact of the research.
  • Support the dissemination of findings through journal publications, conferences, and industry presentations.

3. Contribution to Policy and Practice

  • Help translate research findings into meaningful policy recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of social care practices, ensuring research is aligned with real-world needs.
