Role Overview
Canonical Project Managers are pivotal in ensuring project success through ownership, driving initiatives, clear communication, and engaging all stakeholders with integrity and accountability. Working on a portfolio of projects with complex and evolving software technologies, customer and partner satisfaction is achieved through the exceptional efforts of our Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Ownership: Drive projects to success by owning all aspects and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Respectfully engage and manage all stakeholders to maintain project integrity.
- Agile Expertise: Apply Agile methodologies to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project continuity.
- Collaboration: Build and maintain collaborative internal and external partnerships.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- IT Project Management: Proven experience in software engineering and/or information technology project management.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Global Team Leadership: Experience leading cross-cultural, remote, and global project teams.
- Professionalism: Ability to “make things happen” with effective negotiation techniques.
- Certifications: Agile expertise and Project Management certification.
Preferred Skills:
- Diverse Teams: Experience leading diverse, remote project teams.
- Cross-Cultural Projects: Experience with cross-cultural and multi-continent projects.
- Team Management: Experience in hiring, managing teams, and developing team skills.
- Risk Management: Proven ability to drive project success while managing risks.
- Commercial Skills: Experience dealing with contracts and commercial negotiations.
- Customer Interaction: Comfortable in customer-facing roles for complex projects.
- Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science or a STEM field, ideally an MBA or similar qualification.
- Travel Flexibility: Willing to travel 6-8 weeks a year, up to two weeks at a time, sometimes internationally.
- Non-Standard Hours: Flexibility to work non-standard hours in support of a worldwide sales and project team.
