Job Summary
Fire Hunt Nigeria is seeking a talented and creative YouTube Video Editor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating thumbnails, assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques, and delivering broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the production director.
Job Title: YouTube Video Editor
Location: Fully Remote (Nigeria)
Pay: ₦100,000.00 – ₦150,000.00 per month
Responsibilities
- Video Editing: Manipulate film and video footage using modern editing techniques to maintain continuity while moving shots according to scene value.
- Project Assembly: Trim footage and assemble the rough project.
- Audio and Visual Integration: Insert dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
- Thumbnail Creation: Design and produce compelling thumbnails.
- Photography and Videography: Capture studio-quality photographs and video, both on and off-site.
- Technical Oversight: Manage and oversee all technical aspects of video recording and editing.
- Content Creation: Take charge of video ideation and creation, clipping videos for social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
Qualifications
- Education: BSc or Technical certificate.
- Experience: 2-3 years working experience as a video editor, especially for social media handles and YouTube.
Skills
- Ability to create thumbnails.Proven track record with a portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficient in clipping videos for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Knowledge of podcast production.
- Familiarity with video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects.
- Excellent storytelling skills and the ability to pick out attention-grabbing shots.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and good time-management skills.
- Creative thinker with a good understanding of motion graphics.
- Availability: Willingness to work on Saturdays (occasionally).
