Job Brief
Brave Achievers is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering talented individuals through our initiative, YouCreate Africa. We are seeking volunteer trainers for our annual 8-week sponsored virtual bootcamp. Over the years, we have trained over 2000 Africans in Product Design and UX Research, Agile Project Management, and Technical Writing. This year, we have expanded our curriculum to include generative AI and need skilled trainers to join us in making a difference.
Job Title: Volunteer Trainer
Location: Remote (Nigeria)
Responsibilities
- Virtual Training: Conduct classes virtually using tools like Zoom and Discord.
- Daily Sessions: Train bootcamp participants for two hours per day over a minimum of 8 weeks.
- Assessment: Test participants’ understanding through regular evaluations.
- Feedback: Score tests and award badges based on performance.
- Mentorship: Assist participants in understanding their courses and supervise their Capstone projects.
Skills Required
- Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Product Design and UX Research, Technical Writing, or Agile Project Management.
- Training Experience: Prior experience in training or teaching is an added advantage.
- Residency: Must be a resident of Africa.
- Education: Must be a graduate.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in English.
- Time Commitment: Available for 2 hours per day for a minimum of 8 weeks.
Technical Skills
- Product Designers: Proficiency in Figma, FigJam, and generative AI tools.
- Project Managers: Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Jira, Scrum, and other project management tools and methodologies.
- Technical Writers: Expertise in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation.
