Job Overview:

LearnWell is seeking passionate and certified teachers to join our team as Virtual Tutors. This remote position involves providing academic support to K-12 students receiving treatment in behavioral health facilities. Our mission is to ensure these students continue their education seamlessly during treatment, particularly in high school math and science subjects.

Position: Virtual Tutor

Location: 100% Remote (United States)

Compensation: $20 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Virtual Tutoring: Deliver one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to K-12 students, focusing on core subjects, especially high school math and science.
  • Educational Guidance: Assist students by guiding them through educational material, ensuring their academic success during treatment.
  • Flexible Hours: Work Monday to Friday with fluctuating hours based on demand, particularly from November to early June.
  • Admin Tasks: Complete administrative duties related to tutoring sessions, compensated in addition to session time.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A/B.S.) from an accredited institution.
  • Certification: Valid state teaching license.
  • Experience: Comfortable working with K-12 students across various subjects, with a strong understanding of the material.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Tech Requirements: Reliable internet connection and a conducive home/work space for remote tutoring.
