Job Title: UI/UX Plugin Designer for WordPress Plugins

Location: Fully Remote, Work From Anywhere

Role Overview

As a UI/UX Designer at WPMU DEV, you will design visually compelling and user-friendly interfaces for our plugins. You’ll collaborate with developers and product managers to deliver intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and functional user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.

Responsibilities

  • UI Design: Create intuitive and visually appealing UI designs for WordPress plugins using Figma.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers and product managers to brainstorm and iterate on design ideas.
  • Research: Conduct research on competitors’ designs and industry trends.
  • User Experience: Develop user journeys, flows, and wireframes, ensuring usability and user-centric design principles.
  • Design System: Maintain and work within our design system built in Figma.
  • Innovation: Propose innovative design ideas and variations, contributing to product enhancement.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay updated with the latest trends in UI design and web technologies.
  • Commitment: Work a minimum of 40 hours per week on various projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in UI/UX design, specifically within WordPress projects.
  • WordPress Knowledge: Thorough understanding of WordPress, plugins, and the ecosystem’s opportunities and limitations.
  • Proficiency: Skilled in using Figma for design creation and prototyping.
  • Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing creative and user-focused design solutions.
  • UX Principles: Deep understanding of UX principles, user journeys, and user flows.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Research: Experience in conducting competitive analysis and user research.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively liaise with your Product Manager.
  • Tools: Familiarity with WordPress, Figma, Jira, Slack, CSS, HTML, and AB Testing.
