Job Position: Technical Writer – Freelance AI tutor
Location: Fully Remote (United States)
About the Role
In this position, you will:
- Follow style guides and quality guidelines to create and edit original, helpful, honest, and harmless responses.
- Fact-check existing responses and bring submitted texts up to our standards.
- Work directly with Team Leads to provide feedback to writers and participants, ensuring consistent high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation and Editing: Develop and refine responses that will form the “voice” of future AI.
- Quality Assurance: Fact-check and enhance existing responses to meet our high standards.
- Feedback Provision: Collaborate with Team Leads to guide and improve the work of other writers.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience in writing and editing technical documentation related to software development.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of technical terminology and basic code samples in various programming languages.
- Format Familiarity: Knowledge of rich-text formats, including YAML, CSV, and HTML.
- Education: A degree in English, technical communication, journalism, computer science, or a related field.
- Language Proficiency: Native-level English skills.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn new methods, switch between projects quickly, and work with complex guidelines.
- Equipment: A laptop, internet connection, and availability to take on new challenges.
