Job Title: Remote Special Education Teacher (ME)

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: $30 per Hour

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team and make a meaningful impact. This remote position involves supporting children with learning differences by providing personalized education plans and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver remote special education support to students who are suspended or expelled.
  • Provide compensatory education when needed.
  • Collaborate with parents and students to schedule necessary services.
  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Be available during school hours and after for flexible support.
  • Offer case management services within assigned school districts.
  • Design lesson plans to enhance reading and writing skills, using neuro-developmental insights.
  • Maintain detailed session documentation and records per company policies.
  • Administer assessments and monitor student progress.
  • Educate families on supportive strategies and develop comprehensive roadmaps for their child’s success.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • An active special education license in Arkansas.
  • Expertise in Math subjects (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry).
  • Several years of experience teaching and working with diverse student populations.
  • Proficiency in reading strategies tailored for specific learners.
  • Experience with phonics-based reading programs like Orton Gillingham or Wilson is preferred.
  • Understanding of neuropsychological principles in education.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with teachers, parents, and students.
  • At least one year of hands-on tutoring experience in reading and writing.
  • Practical experience with children in educational settings.
  • Ability to conduct virtual sessions effectively.
  • A private workspace with a reliable internet connection.

Compensation
