We equip school food professionals with the resources, funding, and support needed to deliver cook-from-scratch meals, benefiting the health of children and the planet. Job Overview

The Senior Human Resources Coordinator will play a crucial role in aligning the Human Resources agenda with the strategic objectives of the foundation. Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, this hands-on role involves varied responsibilities, supporting CAF’s mission, vision, and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Day-to-Day HR Needs: Assist in the development and execution of HR policies, procedures, strategies, and programs.
  • Strategic Partner: Provide innovative solutions in human resources and organizational initiatives.
  • Change Management: Support change management initiatives ensuring thorough planning, communication, execution, and follow-up.
  • Talent Acquisition: Facilitate the recruitment process, from identifying candidates to onboarding new hires.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and sourcing outlets.
  • HR Administration: Assist with salary schedules, compensation plans, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Compliance: Ensure records are accurate, organized, and compliant with laws.
  • DEIB Initiatives: Participate in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
  • Legal and Regulatory Awareness: Maintain understanding of federal and state policies related to HR operations.

Position Requirements

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR functions, trends, best practices, and employment laws.
  • Cultural Competence: Commitment to diverse values and backgrounds.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HR generalist roles.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred; HR certification is a plus.
  • Technology: Proficiency in GSuite platforms and the ability to learn new technology programs.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work virtually and occasional travel required.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $52,000 – $66,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

  • Remote Work: Fully remote national organization with headquarters in Boulder, CO.
