Role Overview
As a Product Design Manager, you will lead and grow a team of talented designers, ensuring the highest standards of user experience, interface design, and accessibility. You will partner with Engineering, Product, and Research teams to create intuitive and trustworthy experiences for a wide audience.
This role is both strategic and hands-on—you’ll mentor designers, advocate for user needs, and drive cross-functional collaboration to enhance our product’s overall impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of 4+ Product Designers, fostering a culture of inclusivity and innovation.
- Organize and facilitate design critiques, workshops, and team offsites to enhance collaboration.
- Advocate for the importance of user-centered design within the broader Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) team.
2. User Experience & Product Design
- Ensure a consistent and seamless user experience across all product features.
- Partner with UX Researchers and Brand Designers to maintain a cohesive brand identity across product and marketing.
- Work closely with engineers and product managers to balance business goals and user needs.
3. Process Optimization & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Identify and improve design workflows and processes to increase team efficiency.
- Guide the prioritization of feature improvements, ensuring a balance between new product innovation and existing UX enhancements.
- Drive cross-functional communication, ensuring designers collaborate effectively with other teams.
4. Quality & Design Standards
- Define and champion best practices for design consistency, usability, and accessibility.
- Ensure high-quality design execution across all product experiences.
- Encourage continuous learning and skill development within the design team.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a highly skilled design leader with a proven track record in product design and management.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as both a Senior Product Designer and Design Team Lead.
- Strong background in B2B software design, especially in technical or developer-focused products.
- Hands-on leadership—comfortable setting design standards while guiding team members through execution.
- Excellent communication skills—able to advocate for user experience and design decisions within a technical environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in new product development—leading a design team in building innovative features from the ground up.
- Background in UX Research and Data-Driven Design.
- Passion for mentoring and career development, helping designers improve their craft and leadership skills.
