Job Description
As a Remote Math Certified Teacher at Amergis, you will implement daily instructional plans, maintain a positive learning environment, and collaborate with administrators and other teachers to support student growth. You will ensure proper classroom management and foster effective rapport with pupils.

Pay: $25 / Hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Class Instruction: Conduct classes as assigned, adhering to designated locations and times.
- Instructional Plans: Develop and implement instructional plans aligned with district curriculum.
- Classroom Climate: Maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Rules and Discipline: Establish rules promoting self-discipline and responsibility.
- Guidance: Direct the learning process toward curriculum and goal achievement.
- Instructional Techniques: Utilize varied instructional techniques and media.
- Policy Adherence: Follow policies and procedures set by the Board of Education and Administration.
- Intervention Programs: Develop and implement response to Intervention programs.
- Safety and Maintenance: Take precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities.
- Record Keeping: Maintain required records according to law and district policy.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in enforcing student life and conduct policies.
- Role Model: Serve as a positive professional role model for students.
- Expectations: Communicate high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
- Meetings: Attend staff and IEP meetings as required.
- Assessments: Administer assessments promptly.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with parents.
- Instruction: Provide individualized and small group instruction as needed.
- Professional Rapport: Maintain positive relationships with parents, co-workers, administration, and the School Board.
- Supervision: Oversee students, paraprofessionals, and volunteers.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- Certification: Valid teaching license/certification applicable by state or contract/district.
- Experience: Preferred one year of teaching experience.
- Responsibility: Ability to accept direct responsibility for others’ safety, wellbeing, or work output.
- Communication: Proficient in reading, implementing instructional plans, and effectively communicating with parents and administration.
- Mathematics: Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
- Standards Compliance: Adherence to professional standards of practice.
- Competency Program: Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency program if applicable.
- Health Requirements: Current CPR certification, TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, and Health certificate if applicable.
- Regulatory Compliance: Meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Training: Successful completion of new hire training.
- Confidentiality: Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in English.
- Computer Proficiency: Required.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
