Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Market Researcher / Partnerships Manager to identify high-value opportunities and forge strategic partnerships that will drive Brainscape’s growth. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic problem solver with a deep understanding of various study subjects, languages, exams, and professional certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Industry & Educational Trends: Identify trends impacting study behavior and analyze user data to pinpoint high-demand subjects.
  • Market Analysis: Research competitive study solutions and define Brainscape’s unique role in these markets.
  • Strategy Presentation: Present market prioritization recommendations to the executive team.
  • Partnership Outreach: Contact educators and publishers to explore potential partnerships and identify key influencers and content experts.
  • Meeting Management: Schedule and lead exploratory meetings with prospective partners.
  • Content Development: Build demo flashcards and sample tech integrations to illustrate value to partners.
  • Advisory Role: Advise partners on content creation and uncover expansion opportunities in existing deals.
  • Negotiation Assistance: Support executives in negotiating and implementing partnership agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for Education: Strong interest in education and personal development.
  • Experience: 2+ years in market research, business development, and/or test preparation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, especially active listening.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to identify high-ROI opportunities and quickly discard unproductive ones.
  • Remote Work Proficiency: Comfortable conducting extensive video meetings.
  • Organizational Skills: Obsessive about document management, CRM, and spreadsheets.
  • Problem-Solving: Confidence and resourcefulness to creatively address challenges.
  • Adaptability: Ability to switch context and tone with different stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Strong focus on enhancing processes and documentation.
