
Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Officer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos (Remote)
Employment Type: Contract (6 months, with potential for extension)
Salary: N120,000 – N150,000 Monthly

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Human Resources (HR) Officer to join our team and drive HR strategies that align with our organizational goals.
Role Overview
The HR Officer will play a crucial role in managing various human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development, and policy compliance. This position requires someone with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to foster a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment for both in-house roles and outsourced positions.
- Develop job descriptions, post job listings, and screen potential candidates.
- Conduct interviews and collaborate with hiring managers for final selection.
- Manage onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
Employee Relations & Welfare
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
- Foster a positive work environment by implementing engagement strategies.
- Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts in alignment with company policies.
- Ensure employee satisfaction and retention through well-structured welfare initiatives.
Performance Management & Training
- Implement performance evaluation systems for both internal and outsourced staff.
- Assist in creating employee development plans and training programs.
- Track performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
HR Policies & Compliance
- Develop and enforce HR policies in accordance with labor laws and company objectives.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Handle disciplinary actions, terminations, and policy enforcement professionally.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Process monthly payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Address payroll-related queries and resolve concerns promptly.
HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain an efficient HR database and filing system.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics to aid in management decision-making.
- Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with outsourcing agreements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1 – 2 years of experience in HR, preferably within an outsourcing firm.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, labor laws, and industry best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and people management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
