Key Responsibilities

Digital Design (75–80% of Work)

  • Design engaging and visually consistent graphics for social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, targeted at both broad and niche audiences.
  • Create responsive and on-brand email designs that align with our promotional goals and speak to our quilting-focused demographic.
  • Develop dynamic and user-focused web visuals including banners, product promotions, and landing pages.
  • Maintain a scalable design template library to streamline production workflows and ensure brand consistency across recurring campaigns.
  • Utilize visual storytelling techniques that align with campaign objectives, seasonal events, and audience preferences.

Print Design (20–25% of Work)

  • Conceptualize and produce eye-catching postcards, flyers, and physical inserts that accompany customer shipments.
  • Design our annual cruise catalog, a cornerstone of our print strategy, highlighting itineraries and quilting events at sea.
  • Ensure all print materials are created in high-resolution, follow printing guidelines, and are aligned with established visual standards.

Creative Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal marketing and operations teams to translate ideas into compelling visual assets.
  • Take initiative in presenting new visual concepts and refining existing assets to improve engagement and performance.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions, mood boards, and campaign planning meetings.
  • Align all design work with our brand tone—light-hearted, inviting, and authentic.
  • Avoid common off-brand pitfalls (e.g., overly salesy language, cliché imagery like unnecessary patriotic motifs).

Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in graphic design, with a solid foundation in digital and print media.
  • Advanced proficiency with Canva, and working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong design portfolio showcasing versatility in layout, typography, and brand application.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a proactive communication style.

  • Mid-level designer with a passion for balancing production design with creative expression.
  • Has a strong eye for composition, color, hierarchy, and brand integrity.
