About the Role:
Klasha is seeking a dynamic mid-senior level Front-End Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of an innovative payments and logistics startup in Africa. We need someone who is passionate about blending design aesthetics with technical implementation, and who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new user-facing features.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
- Validate user input before submitting to the back-end.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications.
- Conduct UI tests and optimize performance.
- Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems.
- Participate in peer code reviews and provide feedback.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and software engineers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Front-End Developer.
- Proficiency in React.js and Redux.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Familiarity with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms like LESS and SASS.
- Proficient in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
- Experience with asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
- Deep understanding of the African payments and logistics ecosystem.
- Familiarity with browser testing and debugging.
- In-depth knowledge of the web development process from design to deployment.
- Strong understanding of Git for version control.
