Role : Finance Intern

Location: Remote (Work From Home)

The Lendsqr Finance and Operations team is seeking responsible, young, and exceptional candidates to support our back-office operations. This includes settlement, reconciliation, and managing bank and payment partner relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Payment Reconciliation: Ensure the accounting system reflects accurate positions by reconciling payments and transactions.
  • General Ledger: Perform all required general ledger reconciliations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all daily transactions using the ERP system.
  • Financial Transactions: Verify, calculate, and post accounts receivable data.
  • Customer Pay-outs: Ensure customer pay-outs are accurately matched to client profiles.
  • Reporting Support: Assist in month-end performance reporting.
  • Audit Preparation: Support the accountant, external auditors, and tax consultants by organizing and compiling required documents for financial statement and tax audits.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure withholding tax, VAT, and other taxes are withheld and remitted to relevant authorities monthly.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements

  • Recent university graduate with or without NYSC experience.
  • Minimum of 2:1 degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Not more than 23 years old at the last birthday.
  • Strong interest in fintech and a desire to develop a career in the field.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Process-driven and deadline-oriented.
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.

Compensation Structure

  • Base pay.
  • Monthly data bonus.
