Job Position: Data Entry Associate
Location: Remote (United States)
Salary: $16.50 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST (overtime as needed)
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare source documents for entry into system databases.
- Verify and resolve discrepancies in data using standard procedures.
- Input alphabetic and numeric data accurately into the system.
- Review and correct errors in entered data to maintain accuracy.
- Secure sensitive information by performing daily database backups.
- Adhere to data program security standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform general clerical tasks such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Typing Skills: Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM; 10-key proficiency of 8,000 KPH or higher (10,000 KPH preferred).
- Experience: At least 6 months of relevant experience; medical office experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet navigation.
- Familiarity with general office equipment (fax machines, scanners, copiers).
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding practices (ICD, CPT codes).
