About the Role
Our client is a dynamic organization dedicated to leveraging data-driven insights to enhance business decisions and operational efficiencies. We are seeking a Data Analyst with foundational SQL knowledge and experience in internal and external/embedded reporting. As a Data Analyst, you will collaborate closely with business, product, and engineering teams to ensure the organization has the data it needs to grow and make informed decisions quickly.
Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: 100% Remote, Work From Anywhere
Salary: $3,000 – $3,500 per month
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth: Proactively identify and champion data projects that solve complex problems across multiple domains to drive revenue growth.
- Deep-Dive Analyses: Conduct in-depth analyses to answer specific business questions and provide actionable recommendations to product, marketing, and operational teams.
- Dashboard Design: Ensure internal partners are satisfied with data by designing easy-to-understand dashboards, making analysis self-service, supporting internal requests, and maintaining key reporting/data definitions.
- Customer Satisfaction: Improve customer satisfaction by translating business needs into high-quality requirements for the Data Engineering and Software Engineering teams, infusing insightful data into products.

- Effective Data Reporting: Creation of reliable and insightful dashboards and reports regularly used by the team for informed decision-making.
- Enhanced Data Accessibility: Ensuring all relevant stakeholders have easy access to key business metrics aiding in day-to-day and strategic planning.
- Proactive Insights: Providing analysis that proactively identifies trends and opportunities, leading to actionable business strategies that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Skills and Qualifications
- SQL Expertise: Proficient in writing complex SQL-based queries.
- Statistical Knowledge: Strong foundation in basic statistical methodologies.
- Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solver capable of delivering trajectory-shifting insights.
- Communication: Ability to translate analytical insights into clear recommendations and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Dashboard Creation: Experience crafting dashboards and self-service capabilities through reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Omni, Metabase). Experience with Snowflake and dbt is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: High diligence in maintaining clean, verifiable data.
- Independent Operation: Ability to prioritize important tasks independently without close management.
- Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of databases, ETL, and 3rd party integration tools.
