Job Overview: Remote Data Analyst Role
Africhange is looking for a highly motivated Remote Data Analyst to join its expanding team. The successful candidate will be passionate about transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This position will require collaboration with cross-functional teams and will focus on delivering data-driven solutions, including creating dashboards, reporting key metrics, and providing actionable insights for product and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Data Analyst, you will be an integral part of the business by providing data-driven insights to various departments, primarily marketing, product, and growth teams. Your core responsibilities will include:
1. Data-Driven Decision Making
- Provide data insights to marketing and product teams, focusing on retention, churn, user transactions, and product stickiness.
- Offer recommendations to improve key business metrics, such as user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Develop and deliver end-to-end analytics workflows, including performance metrics, dashboards, and data models.
2. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
- Work closely with teams across marketing, design, product, support, and engineering to identify analytics needs and quantify the impact of product changes, features, and campaigns.
- Communicate data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that actionable insights are easily understood and utilized.
3. Dashboard Creation & Reporting
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards that provide real-time insights on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in the creation of reports that support business decision-making and measure the success of various initiatives.
4. Data Analysis & Data Modeling
- Analyze both primary and secondary data sources to provide clear, actionable insights that influence business decisions.
- Design and implement scalable analytics solutions and data models to optimize business processes.
- Assist in maintaining and structuring databases to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
1. Educational Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Experience & Skills
- Over three years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist, preferably in the FinTech sector or with consumer-focused mobile products.
- Strong expertise in SQL and Python, with experience using data visualization tools like Tableau, Google Studio, or BI platforms.
- Familiarity with analytical tools such as Google Tag Manager, Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, and similar tools.
- A solid understanding of machine learning techniques, predictive modeling, and ETL development is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams and conveying complex technical results to stakeholders in an easily understandable manner.
3. Key Competencies
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot trends and outliers in large datasets.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
