As a Customer Support Representative, you will be the first point of contact for Tiller users, ensuring they receive friendly and knowledgeable support. Whether resolving bank connection issues or guiding customers through spreadsheet formulas, your role will help people simplify and improve their financial tracking.
What You’ll Do
Customer Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide expert assistance to customers using Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
- Troubleshoot spreadsheet errors and data connection issues.
- Respond to customer inquiries via Intercom (support messaging tool) and Discourse (community forum).
- Educate users on Tiller’s features, including budgeting, expense tracking, and financial templates.
Customer Education & Engagement
- Offer tips, tutorials, and best practices to help customers customize their spreadsheets.
- Help improve Tiller’s Help Center articles with customer-friendly content and FAQs.
- Contribute to a positive customer experience, ensuring users feel empowered and confident using Tiller’s platform.
Process Improvement & Team Collaboration
- Work with the customer success team to enhance support strategies and documentation.
- Share feedback to improve Tiller’s product and customer experience.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for helping people.
- Available five days per week (minimum 6-hour shifts), including either Saturday or Sunday.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets & Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and formula troubleshooting.
- 1+ years of customer support experience, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or a tech-driven support role.
- Excellent written communication skills and a customer-friendly approach.
- Up-to-date LinkedIn profile (required for application).
Bonus Points For
- Background in personal finance or small business finance.
- Experience with online banking, budgeting tools, or financial automation.
- Familiarity with Intercom, Discourse, or similar customer support platforms.
