Job Title: Coding Educator

Location: Remote, US

Salary: $57,700 – $79,500 per year

Job Description

The Coding Educator identifies opportunities to enhance provider documentation and creates tailored education plans. This role involves reviewing medical records, arranging educational sessions with providers, and ensuring documentation improvements. Work assignments are varied and require independent decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review medical records and arrange educational sessions with providers.
  • Develop and implement education plans to improve quality of care and documentation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand and align with organizational strategy.
  • Make independent decisions regarding work methods, with minimal direction needed.
  • Follow established guidelines and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • AAPC or AHIMA Coding Certification.
  • 2+ years of recent medical record review experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong presentation skills, including public speaking and interacting with providers.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and guide process improvements.
  • Passion for improving consumer experiences.
  • A dedicated home office space with a locked door for privacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work and education experience.
  • Bilingual skills.

Additional Information

  • Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload required for remote work.
  • Specific internet arrangements provided for associates in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota.
  • Telephone equipment provided to meet business requirements.
