Role Overview
Canonical is seeking B2B Event Specialists responsible for developing and executing a long-term event strategy across EMEA and Americas. This dynamic, multi-disciplinary position requires close collaboration with regional Sales Teams, Partner & Alliances Teams, Product Marketing Teams, Design Teams, and other Marketing functions.
Your Impact:As a B2B Event Specialist, you will play a critical role in enhancing Canonical’s presence in the technology market through meticulously planned and executed events. Team Environment:This role is part of the EMEA and Americas regional marketing team and reports to the regional marketing team manager. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the seamless execution of events.

Location: Remote (EMEA Region)
Responsibilities
- Event Planning: Maintain a list of events Canonical should participate in based on primary research and team input.
- KPI Setting: Establish relevant KPIs to measure individual event effectiveness and justify expenditures.
- Cost Management: Source the best possible deals to maximize visibility and minimize costs.
- Logistic Support: Provide full logistic support for all global events, with occasional travel to major events.
- Budget Management: Plan and execute event budgets, monitoring and adjusting them as necessary.
- Continuous Improvement: Create systems to measurably improve event effectiveness over time.
Daily Activities:
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, sales representatives, and executives.
- Ensure excellent communication and seamless execution of events.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in B2B event organization (trade shows, customer events, webinars).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or STEM with excellent academic results.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
- Hands-on mindset with a passion for experimentation.
- Enthusiasm for challenges and a growth mindset.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Objectivity and openness to others’ views while building a positive team spirit.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Pay:Determined by geographical location, level of experience, knowledge, and skills.
