Your Role as a Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide critical care for a diverse patient population, primarily within surgical and orthopaedic specialties. You will play an integral role in supporting acutely unwell patients and ensuring safe, effective care pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Patient Care:
    • Conduct nurse-led assessments and monitor patient conditions.
    • Recognize and respond to deteriorating patients, ensuring prompt action.
    • Assist in preparing patients for surgery and provide pre- and post-operative care.
  2. Team Collaboration:
    • Work within a multi-disciplinary team, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
    • Support patient discharge planning and admissions.
  3. Safety and Compliance:
    • Prioritize patient safety while adhering to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Requirements

  • Registration: Active NMC Pin as a Registered Nurse.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in surgical care or orthopaedic nursing.
