About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust for a dynamic Recruitment Manager to join the HR Workforce department. As part of one of the largest and most prestigious NHS organisations, you will play a pivotal role in the operational delivery of central recruitment services. Working in collaboration with the Senior Recruitment Manager, you will oversee recruitment campaigns for specific staff groups, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and UK employment laws.

The successful candidates will be responsible for managing recruitment teams and leading projects aimed at driving the recruitment process forward with exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities

As a Recruitment Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage the recruitment teams, consisting of Recruitment Co-ordinators and Recruitment Assistants.
  • Oversee recruitment campaigns, ensuring smooth delivery and adherence to service level agreements and Trust policies.
  • Provide expert advice and support on recruitment processes, compliance, and the right to work regulations.
  • Support the Senior Recruitment Manager and Resourcing Partners in reducing vacancy rates and growing the recruitment service.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring hiring managers and applicants have a positive experience.
  • Work towards making the recruitment service a centre of excellence, continuously improving practices and processes.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications and experience:

Qualifications/Education

  • A degree or equivalent HR/Recruitment knowledge, gained through relevant training or experience.
  • Affiliated or Graduate membership of CIPD or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

Experience

  • Operational knowledge of recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Proven line management experience, including managing small teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and service level agreements.
  • Experience of managing and developing resourcing services within an NHS or similar healthcare setting.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to provide clear guidance on complex issues.
  • Proficiency in ESR and TRAC systems.
  • Strong knowledge of employment and immigration law related to recruitment, including contract production, DBS, and visa applications.
  • Awareness of Equality and Diversity legislation.

Desirable

  • Additional qualifications or experience in project management and recruitment strategy development.
