- Job Type: Full-Time
- Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 per annum
P2R is seeking a flexible and experienced Recovery Worker to join our team, delivering community-based drug and alcohol services in Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire. This role focuses on empowering individuals to achieve recovery and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of 35-70 service users based on complexity.
- Conduct drug and alcohol misuse assessments, including strengths and risk evaluation.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate person-centered recovery plans and risk management strategies.
- Deliver harm reduction interventions, including needle exchange and physical health care access.
- Provide evidence-based drug and alcohol interventions in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Facilitate engagement with health and social care services to support recovery.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and attend clinical meetings.
- Maintain accurate electronic healthcare records and produce high-quality reports.
- Use IT systems efficiently and report incidents per Trust policies.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in social care, particularly with substance misuse clients.
- Strong care planning and risk assessment abilities.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (evidence of certificates required).
- Flexibility to work in a clinical setting.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in multidisciplinary care planning.
- Additional qualifications relevant to recovery work.

- This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
