About the Role

The Welsh Ambulance NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Project Support Manager to join its Strategy, Planning, and Performance Team. This new role is integral to supporting the Trust’s transformative strategy, Delivering Excellence, and its Integrated Medium-Term Plan (IMTP).

You’ll play a vital role in driving the success of key projects across the organization. With responsibility for project coordination, administrative tasks, and ensuring adherence to project management methodologies, this role is ideal for someone ambitious, organized, and adaptable.

Location: Across Wales, United Kingdom (Flexible/Remote Options Available)
Salary: £30,420 – £37,030 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Manage specific project elements autonomously under the guidance of project leads.
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of project plans to ensure timely and effective delivery.

Administrative Excellence

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, tracking progress and benefits.
  • Set up and manage systems for recording and updating project information while ensuring confidentiality.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Build relationships with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring clear communication of complex project-related information.
  • Provide training on project and business administration systems to staff across all levels.

Strategic Contribution

  • Monitor workstreams, identify resource gaps, and recommend solutions to address risks.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and service improvement initiatives.
  • Offer advice on research activities, leveraging evidence from similar projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques for planning, monitoring, and delivery.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in standard IT tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Desirable:

  • Certification: Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Background in the NHS or public sector and advanced IT skills (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Language: Welsh speaker (Level 1) or willingness to learn.

Salary and Benefits

  • Pay Band: Agenda for Change Band 5 (£30,420 – £37,030 per annum).
  • Location: Flexible across Wales, including remote and home-working options.
