About the Role: Project Support Manager

As a Project Support Manager within the EPR Programme, you will provide essential project support services, enabling the smooth execution of our healthcare transformation projects. This is a hands-on, varied role where you will be directly involved in managing project activities, supporting communication between stakeholders, and ensuring project outcomes are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management Support

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities, ensuring that all goals are achieved efficiently and effectively.
  • Support the creation and management of project plans, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.

Communication and Stakeholder Liaison

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, keeping all parties informed about project progress and developments.
  • Prepare and disseminate project documentation, including status reports, meeting notes, and action points.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication within the team, ensuring all members are aligned with the project’s goals and deadlines.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret project data, helping inform decisions and drive project improvements.
  • Assist in the creation of dashboards and reports to track the performance and outcomes of various projects within the EPR Programme.

Risk Management

  • Support the identification and management of project risks using the Datix system, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies are implemented.

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support for project activities, including scheduling meetings, maintaining project records, and coordinating logistics.
  • Manage project documentation and ensure it is up-to-date and easily accessible for the team.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent project/programme management training and experience.
  • Proven experience in project support or project management roles, particularly in a healthcare or public sector setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to provide appropriate challenge when required.
  • Proficiency in ICT systems and a solid understanding of various software tools used in project management.

Desirable Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in programme and project management environments.
  • Knowledge of NHS or public sector systems, processes, and regulations.
  • Experience using project management software and tools to track progress and risks.
  • Familiarity with the Datix system or similar risk management platforms.
