About the Role: Nursery Room Manager
Tiny Toes Day Nurseries is looking for passionate and experienced Nursery Room Managers to join our team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for qualified professionals in early years education who are looking for career growth in a supportive and dynamic nursery environment.
As a Nursery Room Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of childcare professionals, creating a safe and stimulating environment, and ensuring high-quality early years education. Visa Sponsorship Criteria – Important Information
We can sponsor Skilled Worker Visas for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- You must have a degree-level qualification in Early Years Education that translates to a UK-recognized qualification.
- Your degree must specifically mention “Early Years”—not education management, educational psychology, or any other field.
- We can accept transfers of current Skilled Worker Visas (in Early Years Education) to our own sponsorship license.
- You must already be based in the UK to be eligible for sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
As a Nursery Room Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the room team to deliver high-quality early years education and care.
- Planning and implementing engaging activities that support children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
- Ensuring a safe and secure environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Communicating effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and any concerns.
- Observing and assessing children’s development, ensuring each child’s individual needs are met.
- Collaborating with other nursery staff to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Ensuring full compliance with all nursery policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience in childcare or UK early years education.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in a childcare setting.
- At least 2 years of experience in early childhood education.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
- A deep understanding of child development principles and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining high standards of care.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their early development.

Work Schedule & Location
- Full-Time Position (Fixed-term contract – 24 months)
- Monday to Friday – Day Shift (No evening or weekend shifts)
- Location: Southampton (Applicants must be able to reliably commute or relocate before starting work)
