We’re looking for a passionate Nursery Room Leader to guide our room team, manage daily activities, and support the growth of every child in our care.
Job Title: Nursery Room Leader (Level 3 Qualified)
Location: Southampton, United Kingdom
Salary: £30,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-term contract (36 months)

Job Overview
As a Nursery Room Leader, you’ll lead a team of educators and foster a positive environment for children’s development. Your main responsibilities will include planning creative activities, ensuring safety, and communicating with parents and guardians to keep them involved in their child’s journey. If you’re enthusiastic about shaping young minds and have a knack for leading a team, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Inspire: Guide your room team to deliver effective early years education.
- Engaging Activities: Design and implement activities that promote children’s growth across physical, social, and intellectual areas.
- Safety First: Maintain a secure environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Parent Communication: Build positive relationships with parents, sharing updates on their child’s development.
- Observe and Assess: Monitor each child’s progress, ensuring individual needs are met.
- Collaborate and Support: Work closely with staff to create a cohesive, supportive environment for everyone involved.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: 3+ years in early childhood education, with 2+ years in a leadership role within a nursery setting.
- Leadership Skills: A talent for inspiring and motivating your team.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Child Development Knowledge: A solid foundation in child development principles.
- Passion for Early Years Education: A genuine love for working with children and supporting their growth.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts
Location Requirement: Must be able to commute or plan to relocate to Southampton before starting.
