Job Overview
Are you looking for a rewarding role in medical recruitment within a dynamic NHS environment? North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) is seeking an experienced Medical Recruitment Administration Officer to join our busy recruitment team. This permanent, full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in our end-to-end recruitment processes for medical and dental staff, from Foundation level doctors to Consultants and Dentists.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a fast-paced, high-demand workload. You will work with recruiting managers to ensure smooth recruitment operations while managing pre-employment checks, issuing employment contracts, and supporting overseas recruits with visa processes and relocation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment Administration
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for medical and dental positions, ensuring smooth and timely processing of applicants.
- Manage consultant recruitment panels, liaising with Royal College representatives and senior staff to ensure compliance with NHS recruitment standards.
- Process pre-employment checks, including DBS checks and right to work verification for overseas candidates.
2. Certificate of Sponsorship (COS)
- Administer the Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) for overseas recruits, guiding them through the visa application process and offering support with their transition to the UK, including advice on accommodation and schools.
3. Collaboration and Communication
- Liaise with recruiting managers, staff, and newly appointed recruits to ensure all stages of the recruitment process are completed smoothly and efficiently.
- Support candidates and hiring managers with any recruitment-related inquiries, providing clear guidance and customer service throughout the process.
4. Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and support the team in managing multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Ensure all recruitment processes comply with NHS standards, including equality and diversity regulations and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Administration or equivalent qualification.
Desirable Qualifications
- Familiarity with NHS Terms and Conditions of Service.
- Knowledge of ESR (Electronic Staff Record) and NHS Jobs systems.
Experience Requirements
- Experience working in a busy office environment with tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage changing priorities effectively.
- Experience with end-to-end recruitment processes, particularly in the NHS or healthcare sector, is desirable but not essential.
Skills Required
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to develop professional relationships across all levels.
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite and ability to adapt to new IT systems.
