- Position: Level 1 Social Worker
- Location: United Kingdom (Newcastle District)
- Job Type: Full-Time (12-month fixed contract)
- Salary: £2,000/month
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Level 1 Social Worker to join our Adult Social Care team. This role focuses on supporting adults over 18 with diverse physical and mental health needs. Join a community-based team dedicated to empowering individuals and promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities
As a Level 1 Social Worker, you will:
- Conduct holistic, needs-led assessments, care planning, and reviews.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide seamless health and social care services.
- Participate in the duty/ACCESS or priority rota for screening and assessing health and social care needs.
- Support individuals and their carers on defined care pathways, ensuring safe and effective transitions.
- Work under the supervision of experienced social workers and Advanced Social Work Practitioners.
About You
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Professional Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS, BA, MA, or equivalent foreign certification).
- Registered with the Professional Social Work regulatory body.
- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email).
- Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and equal opportunities.
- Willingness to undergo Assessed Year in Practice (ASYE).
Experience:
- Working with adults and older adults with mental health needs and their carers.
- (Preferred) Social work experience in other areas such as Children and Families or Learning Disabilities.
