Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Maintenance & Organization

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans to meet health and safety standards.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored properly for efficient use.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations by properly storing food items and ensuring hygiene practices are followed.
  • Manage the disposal of waste in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support in maintaining inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report shortages when necessary.

Food Preparation & Assistance

  • Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation as needed, ensuring smooth service during busy periods.
  • Work closely with team members to support efficient kitchen operations during high-demand service times.
  • Collaborate with the manager and kitchen staff to ensure dishes are served promptly and meet quality standards.

Team Support & Customer Service

  • Provide support to colleagues during peak service times, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and contribute to a motivated work environment, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Uphold the restaurant’s stellar reputation by adhering to hospitality standards and maintaining a professional demeanor.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • A strong understanding of food production processes and kitchen workflows.
  • Teamwork skills with the ability to effectively collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic culinary knowledge is advantageous, but willingness to learn is key.
  • Familiarity with hospitality standards and practices.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
