Key Responsibilities as a Home Care Assistant
In your role as a Home Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing person-centred care that enhances the quality of life for those who need it most. Your key duties will include:
1. Provide Personal Care

Assist clients with daily personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and continence support.

5. Monitor and Report

6. Encourage Independence

Assist clients in maintaining their independence, helping them to live confidently and safely at home.

Offer encouragement, support, and guidance in daily activities, promoting self-sufficiency.
7. Maintain Accurate Records

Ensure that all care provided is documented accurately, recording any changes or interventions made during each visit.

Eligibility Requirements for Home Care Assistants
To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following qualifications and criteria:
1. Experience and Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in care or nursing roles.

Recognized care qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 or higher, or equivalent certifications.
2. Driving Requirements

A valid driving license is essential for this role. International driving licenses are accepted for the first 12 months.

You must have access to your own vehicle to travel between client locations.
3. Communication Skills

Excellent English communication skills are required to engage with clients and their families effectively.
