Join our dedicated team at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as a Highly Specialised Respiratory Physiologist. This is a fantastic opportunity for both Band 7 and experienced Band 6 professionals to become integral members of our lung function unit at Castle Hill Hospital and our Community Diagnostic Hub. We are seeking candidates eager to contribute to a busy unit providing essential diagnostic services to patients from Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North, and North East Lincolnshire.

Key Responsibilities
As a Respiratory Physiologist, you will:
- Diagnostic Testing: Perform and interpret a variety of diagnostic tests including flow volume loops (spirometry), gas transfer, lung volumes (nitrogen washout/body plethysmography), reversibility studies, and more.
- Sleep and CPAP Services: Conduct overnight oximetry, limited polysomnography, CPAP initiation, follow-up, and provide technical support.
- Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with respiratory nurse specialists and consultants to ensure accurate diagnostic reporting and patient care.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment, ensuring high standards of performance for both in-hospital and domiciliary use.
- Patient Interaction: Facilitate communication and support for patients regarding their diagnostic processes and results.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Education: ARTP qualification and a degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
- Registration: Must be registered with ACHP/RCCP.
- Experience: At least three years in lung function, CPAP, and sleep diagnostics with proven skills in test performance and interpretation.
Desirable:
- Professional Development: Progress towards further ARTP qualifications and experience with ARTP reporting courses.
- Skills: Involvement in developing departmental SOPs and adaptations.
